The Challenge.
Following the success of the tea trolley, Monkey Shoulder naturally wanted us to capitalise on their now trending status. The next step was to develop something bigger and bolder that was sure to turn heads and disrupt. We wanted a new generation to think about scotch differently, and Monkey Shoulder was a scotch that was crafted especially for mixing.
We kitted out a 15-tonne mixer truck that was capable of serving up to 12 different cocktails, complete with DJ booth and sound system. The World’s Loudest Silent Whisky Tasting was born. Led by a live compere, we began to immerse guests into the world of scotch whisky through 3 unique cocktails with a backdrop of specially mixed tunes to heighten the experience.
Our solution.
Throughout the summer, the mixer truck made its way around the UK and recently departed on a tour of Europe. Mixing scotch to a mix of tunes from a mixer truck is an experience visitors won’t soon forget. From festivals to pubs, Glasgow to Tunbridge Wells, the Monkey Mixer made its way around the UK throughout 2019… and it’s still going.
Serving up to 11,000 litres of eight different cocktails at any one time, there’s always something visitors can enjoy. We’ve even had some of London’s top bars design cocktails especially for the truck.
Over 40,000 drinks were served in 2019.
